Our client is a well-known listed Financial Services firm with strong presence in Hong Kong. In order to support their business growth, they are now hiring a System Engineer to join their IT team to support them.
Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining the enterprise email systems and IP phone systems.
Responsible for maintaining the equipment and servers in server rooms which are built in-house.
Responsible for technical support including computer hardware, operating systems, applications and networks.
Perform regular tasks including system health checking and maintenance.
Work closely with the technical teams of the service providers to discuss the technical approach, review their deliverables and monitor their performance during the implementation of new services and BAU support such as upgrade or patching.
Facilitate the application teams to work with the service providers to obtain new services or refine the existing services of data center and print center.
Consolidate different reports and provide regular management updates on the performance of different IT infrastructure services.
Assist the IT service desk and procurement team if necessary.
Provide support to the Manager, IT Infrastructure and Services when needed.
Requirements
Degree or Diploma holder in Computer Studies/ Computer Science.
At least 5 years relevant working experience in IT infrastructure.
Holder of ITIL or relevant certification is preferred.
Solid experience in VMWare, SAN storage, Windows, AIX, Solaris and network design.
Solid experience in managing vendors on IT operations, change management, incident management, problem management, etc.
Working experience in infrastructure implementation, large-scale server relocation and system migration / upgrade.
Good command of written and spoken English.
